Legislative Camera Control System (CPS-LG-S)
  ¢¹ °£´ÜÇÑ ¼³¸í
CPS-LGS-S is designed to automate a legislative studio application. Control of camera positions, CCU control, Video Switcher DSK, Video Switcher Program/Preview busses, and Character Generator graphics provide a single operator to efficiently control the studio.

Most legislative applications are not scripted as a news studio applications are. This places pressure on the camera operators to locate a specific legislative member when they about to speak. Utilizing robotic cameras, the logistics of locating a legislative member has been simplified by using a GUI (Graphical User Interface). The CPS-LGS-S GUI integrates a seating chart, list of names, robotic camera presets, graphic pages, microphone tally and a video switcher to quickly locate a member, display the appropriate graphic and video.

Each member can be allocated to a seat. Utilizing a bitmap overlay, the seats can be assigned to any region (at least 2 sides) on the bitmap. This region acts as a button having a transparent color and can have an irregular shape. Each seat contains location presets (pan, tilt, zoom, focus) for three cameras using sitting and standing mode, member's name, member's initials, microphone and a character generator preset. Up to 500 seats can be defined each

have up to three presets for sitting and three for standing for a totoal of 3000 presets. Twenty of the seats can be assigned as cover presets located as buttons at the bottom of the screen. The status of the audio system can be displayed for each seat when a compatible audio system is used.

When a seat is activated (via the mouse, microphone or touchscreen), CPS-LGS-S recalls the preset shot associated with the seat. If the camera is currently on the program output, no movement will occur on that camera. The preview bus of the video switcher will switch to the camera that the preset is assigned to. A joystick control panel provides trim controls for pan, tilt, zoom and focus, to adjust the camera's position if the user moves. Seats may be activated through a name lookup, typing the seat number, microphone or direct screen recall.

A TAKE button provides ability to switch the preview to the program bus. At this point the displayed graphics will be removed from the program output. After the switch has taken place, the graphic associated with the seat is displayed. With two button presses, first selecting the seat location and then the TAKE button, an operator can easily locate, load the appropriate graphic and switch to the program output.

Four separate graphic pages are available to provide additional pages using dedicated buttons. These buttons are dynamically assignable to any preset page, 0 to 999. One of the four buttons can be assigned through the touchscreen interface easily.

Several modes of automation are provided for flexibility:

AUTO VSW: Automatic switching of program and preview bus. Program and preview switching are enabled
AUTO CG: Automatic loading of graphic pages. Graphic Pages will load automatically on TAKE (CPS-LGS-S or manual production control). CG presets are active.
AUTO DSK: Automatic operation of the video switcher's down stream keyer. Control of the DSK will turn off/on automatically when sources are sent to the program bus. If AUTO CG is disabled this function is disabled.
